Hello,
We have been busy in the studio with our long term producer Ben Trow (Seazoo, Mowbird) at the helm. We’ve recorded two tracks, which we plan to release as two separate singles over the next few months. The songs were recorded in Wrexham and are now in the final mixing stage. Artwork-wise, the very talented Mike Payne and Andy Garside (Mechanical Owl) are busy working away, and as always our very own Chris Trow will be putting the videos together. We’re really looking forward to sharing the new songs with you all.
In other news, last week Lance performed 4 tracks for the DWOH acoustic sessions at Oriel, Wrexham. We’ll post the full videos on our social media sites as soon as they are ready.
We’ve also confirmed a gig, we play Soup Kitchen, Manchester next month (Nov 29th) supporting the brilliant Desert Sound Colony. More details here……
….. and that’s it, you’re up to date with all our goings on. Now doesn’t that feel better. x
We haven’t posted on here for a bit but a few exciting things have happened while we’ve been away! We made it to the last six of the Green Man Rising competition which meant we had to travel down to London to play the final at Dublin Castle. The whole experience was amazing and although we didn’t win, it was revealed on the night that all six finalists will be playing the festival!
The Green Man Festival is one of our favourite events so to say we are excited is an understatement. Thanks to all the bloggers, judges, organisers and press who were involved in this years competition, we can’t wait to play.
If you’re one of the lucky ones who got a ticket (the festival is now sold out), we’ll see you there!
Here’s the official video for ‘Make the Right Move’, the second single to be taken from our new EP So Long, Emptiness.
The video contains footage from our recent EP launch shows at Fuel, Manchester and UnDegUn, Wrexham. It was a lot of fun to make, hope you enjoy it.
We have just been confirmed to play this year’s Chorlton Arts Festival. We play Lloyds Bar on the 22nd May at 10pm for an hour long set. We are really looking forward to this one. Tickets are available from the venue on the night or you can buy full weekend tickets for the festival here.
We are pleased to announce that we are returning to the Focus Wales festival for the 3rd year in a row. This years line-up is immense and we are snuggly sandwiched in between EAGULLS and Mike Joyce (DJ Set). We play Friday the 24th at midnight, hope to see you there. Check out the full line-up here, and get tickets here!
Here is the video to our new single ‘The Reason I Jump’. As with all our videos, it was put together by Chris (Trow) using footage from Lance’s older brother’s home videos along with performance shots of the band playing the song. The idea for the video came from Lance’s love of Deerhunter’s ‘Helicopter’ video, in which layering effects are used along with a close-up vocal performance.
Watch it below.
